Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Processes sales at the cash register, handles payments, and manages returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacy workflow and scheduling.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and complies with pharmacy policies, including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communications with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storage. Maintains knowledge of asset protection and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains product displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with food product placement, stock rotation, and inventory management.
- Operates store systems and equipment effectively.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos, poster printing, and promotional products.
- Handles web order pickups and ensures timely delivery to customers.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects as required.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state certification as required.
- Participates in training, completes continuing education, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking), except in Puerto Rico.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
