Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles register transactions, including processing purchases, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products when possible.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and records stock levels. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and assisting pharmacists with workflow scheduling.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and complies with company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Follows all policies related to Good Faith Dispensing and adheres to the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including those to physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Assists with pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection procedures and files claims for discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws concerning regulated products like tobacco and alcohol.
- Creates and maintains store displays, and assists with resets and revisions.
- Supports product placement and stock rotation, especially for food items, using FIFO method.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and deliveries.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, and maintains respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes special tasks and assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions and acquires ongoing healthcare and pharmacy knowledge.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
