Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up and/or companion items.
- Registers customer purchases, processes payments, and handles returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures accurate pricing and labeling.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and assisting in workflow management under supervision.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and complies with company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent telephone inquiries, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages related claims and documentation.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like tobacco and alcohol.
- Constructs and maintains product displays, including promotional and seasonal setups.
- Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and store cleanliness.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional photo sales.
- Handles web order pickup and delivery tasks.
- Supports store maintenance and adheres to all policies, fostering respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and participates in ongoing training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
Additional requirements include fluency in English and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
