Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products to customers.
- Registers customer purchases, handles cash, processes refunds, exchanges, and voids. Assists customers in locating products in-store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and assists with pricing and stocking as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting pharmacists with workflow.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party prescription claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and ensures compliance with asset protection policies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains displays and assists with store resets and product placement following policies.
- Supports store maintenance and cleanliness, including exterior and interior areas.
- Provides photo services and manages web pickup orders in the store.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships, and completes assigned tasks and special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
- Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
