Job description

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist, under supervision, in practicing pharmacy in accordance with regulations. Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.

Customer Experience

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolves issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits, to deliver a memorable customer experience.

Operations

• Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommends items and trade-up or complementary products.
• Handles transactions, including voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
• Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Prices merchandise as directed.
• Supports pharmacy tasks such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow scheduling.
• Reports prescription errors immediately and follows policies related to pharmacy safety and conduct.
• Adheres to Good Faith Dispensing policies and handles non-urgent calls to physicians.
• Processes third-party claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
• Supports inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Files claims for overages, shortages, errors, or damages.
• Complies with laws regarding regulated products like tobacco and alcohol.
• Creates and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
• Assists with food product placement and stock rotation, following safety and quality standards.
• Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products.
• Handles web order pickups and delivery within the store.
• Ensures store cleanliness and appearance, and maintains respectful coworker relationships.
• Completes other tasks and special assignments as directed.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
• Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
