Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Handles cash register transactions, including collecting cash, giving change, processing returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and records stock levels. Assists in pricing and stocking merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, assisting in prescription filling, and verifying medication accuracy. Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and complies with pharmacy policies and the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Handles non-urgent pharmacy calls, processes third-party claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and checking shipments. Maintains knowledge of asset protection procedures and reports discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like tobacco and alcohol.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as needed.
- Assists with food product placement and stock rotation, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo department, including passport photos, prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pick-ups, fills orders, and delivers them to customers.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, ensuring a neat and orderly environment.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes assigned tasks and special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification or relevant state certification through ongoing training and education.
- Participates in training sessions, completes required coursework, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
