Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles register transactions, including collecting cash, giving change, processing refunds, returns, rain checks, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Assists with pricing and stocking merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Assists pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains store displays, completes resets, and manages product placement.
- Assists with food product separation and stock rotation following safety and quality policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Supports web order pick-up and delivery services.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes additional tasks and special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Participates in training sessions, acquires required credits, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
