Customer Experience

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).

Operations

• Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
• Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or companion items.
• Handles checkout processes, including registering purchases, collecting cash, and managing returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
• Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures proper pricing as directed.
• Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying correctness, and assisting with workflow scheduling.
• Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
• Handles non-urgent telephone calls, including communication with physicians.
• Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
• Assists with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages claims for discrepancies.
• Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
• Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal items, and completes resets as directed.
• Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and restocking.
• Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional products.
• Handles web order pickups and ensures timely delivery to customers.
• Supports store cleanliness and appearance, and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Completes additional tasks and special assignments as needed.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
