Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up and/or compatible products to customers.
- Operates cash registers accurately, handles transactions including voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products within the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of shelves and counters, manages inventory, and records transactions. Assists in checking and pricing merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Assists pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follows company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement initiatives.
- Adheres to all policies regarding Good Faith Dispensing and complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Handles non-urgent telephone inquiries, including calls to physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as directed.
- Assists with food product organization and stock rotation, following policies for product placement and FIFO method.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional photo products.
- Handles web order pickups, including monitoring, filling, and delivering orders.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance by assisting with maintenance tasks.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification through approved training and/or state registration.
- Attends training sessions, completes required continuing education, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
