The incumbent will oversee controlled substances, maintain records, participate in hospital committees, and promote continuing education. Georgia licensure and hospital experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with degree from an accredited school.
• Current Georgia Pharmacist license.
• BLS certification within 90 days; ACLS within 6 months if applicable.
• Hospital pharmacist experience (2 years) or PGY1 with 1 year hospital.
• One year of managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day operations of Pharmacy Department.
• Oversees supply areas and ensures availability of agents, equipment and materials.
• Supervises staff, manages performance, provides feedback.
• Develops work schedules and optimizes workflow.
• Develops and administers policies and procedures per guidelines.
• Maintains records and data reporting for management/regulators.
• Manages access to controlled substances and inventories.
• Participates in hospital committees and wider professional activities.
• Promotes continuing education and department training.
