Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Department, ensuring compliance, staffing performance, and secure handling of controlled substances. You will partner with clinical teams to optimize medication use and patient safety in a large academic health system.

The role requires a PharmD degree, Georgia licensure, and hospital pharmacy experience with managerial skills; BLS within 90 days and ACLS within 6 months if relevant.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• Eligible for Georgia Licensure.
• BLS Certification within 90 days; ACLS within 6 months if applicable to practice.
• Two years of hospital pharmacist experience or PGY1 with 1 year hospital experience or two years in retail/specialty; one year managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and manages performance; provides ongoing feedback and training.
• Develops, revises and administers department policies and procedures; ensures compliance.
• Attends in-services; participates in professional activities to stay current; collects and analyzes data for reports.
• Manages access to controlled substances; ensures accurate records and proper inventory.
• Participates on hospital committees and promotes staff development and education.
