Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• Current Georgia Pharmacist license.
• BLS certification within 90 days; ACLS within 6 months if applicable.
• Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacist experience or PGY-1 with 1 year hospital experience; 1 year managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Department, including staff supervision and compliance.
• Oversees supply areas and monitors availability of pharmacological agents and equipment.
• Plans schedules and optimizes workflow to meet standards.
• Develops and administers department policies and procedures with leadership.
• Collects data and generates reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Manages access to controlled substances and maintains accurate records.
• Serves as a resource to physicians and staff and participates in hospital committees.
• Promotes continuing education and training for department staff.
