Job summary

Weis Markets in Mill Hall, PA seeks a Pharmacist to lead our pharmacy operations and ensure regulatory compliance. The role focuses on patient counseling, clinical programs, immunization services, and supervision of pharmacy technicians while maintaining inventory and customer service excellence.

You will partner with physicians, uphold security and quality standards, and assist in training staff to improve performance and reduce turnover, supporting Weis Markets’ commitment to community health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) or Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) in Pharmacy.
• Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (APhA).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs including appropriate immunization and MTM where available.
• Supervise the work completed by Pharmacy Technicians and support staff while on duty, train, coach, and manage associates.
• Assume management responsibility over the entire pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Interact with physicians and utilize reference material to gain information on customers and prescriptions to resolve issues.
