Job summary

Weis Markets in Newport Township, PA is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to lead our neighborhood pharmacy with a patient‑centered approach. You will ensure safe dispensing, oversee technicians, and uphold regulatory standards while delivering compassionate healthcare counseling.

The role includes managing inventory, participating in clinical programs such as immunization and MTM when available, and training staff to maintain high service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Immunization Certification from an accredited organization (e.g., APhA) required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions through Drug Utilization Review and QA.
• Lead clinical programs including immunization and MTM when available.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff; train and coach associates.
• In absence of Pharmacy Manager, assume management responsibilities for the entire pharmacy.
• Maintain security of the Pharmacy department and ensure regulatory compliance.
