Job summary

AbbVie is hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor I to lead safe, compliant production operations on multiple shifts. You will drive team performance, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and manage resources to meet the production schedule.

The role emphasizes developing staff through training, conducting performance reviews, and implementing process improvements within a regulated environment. A strong emphasis on safety and operational excellence is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; sciences/engineering preferred.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
• Two years of manufacturing or related experience required; supervisor experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other manufacturing systems, such as SAP.
• Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs; strong writing skills.
• Aseptic production experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe operations and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Deploy and develop team members; conduct 1:1s and performance reviews; manage attendance and communicate information effectively.
• Coordinate shift activities to meet production schedule and ensure smooth handovers.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies; perform material checks, line clearance, and spot checks.
• Manage cycle time and change-over improvements; drive OpEx initiatives.
• Develop direct reports with training and growth opportunities; foster growth mindset.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Generate and manage waste per internal procedures and regulations.
