Job summary

SSOE Group is hiring an Assistant Project Manager (Pharmaceutical Facilities) to join the Industrial Facilities Design team in Nashville. You will support Battery/Complex Projects Operations, assist Senior PMs and PMs with day-to-day tasks, work plans, schedules, and budgets, and help manage small, low-complexity projects.

You'll partner with a PM team to ensure client requirements are met, participate in proposals, and travel as needed to coordinate work across offices and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering with licensure eligibility or an Associate degree in engineering (preferred).
• CAPM certification encouraged.
• 1+ year as Engineer 1 or 3+ years related experience.
• Travel required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CADD.
• Valid driver's license (may be waived for international assignments).

Responsibilities

• Assist Sr. Project Managers and Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Assist in preparing project plans and budgets and control procedures.
• Manage small and/or low-complexity projects under supervision.
• Audit client billings for PM approval.
• May serve as primary communication link between project teams and external partners.
• Follow procedures for construction cost estimating, correspondence, and document control.
• Coordinate meetings and document distribution; prepare meeting minutes.
• Assist in training other Assistant Project Managers.
• Travel to client sites or other offices as needed.
