Job summary

SSOE is hiring an Assistant Project Manager (Pharmaceutical Facilities) to join our Industrial Facilities Design team. You will assist Senior Project Managers with day-to-day tasks, schedules, budgets, and project plans, and may manage small, low-complexity projects under supervision.

This role supports multiple locations and travel may be required. Key qualifications include a Engineering degree (licensure preferred) or equivalent, CAPM encouraged, and proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word,

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Associate degree in engineering (licensure/efforts)
• CAPM Certification encouraged
• 1 year as Engineer 1 or 3 years related experience
• Travel required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experienced in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CADD
• Valid driver's license required; waiver possible for international assignments

Responsibilities

• Assist Sr. Project Managers and/or Project Manager with day-to-day tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, budgets, etc.
• Assist in preparing project plans, budgets, control procedures, etc.
• Manage small and/or low-complexity projects under supervision
• Audit client billings for Project Manager approval
• May be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners
• Follow established procedures to administer project activities (cost estimating, correspondence, document controls)
• Communicate client requirements to each discipline
• Participate in client meetings and business development activities
• Prepare proposals including low-complexity proposals
• Assist in collection of past due accounts
• Assist in training of other assistant PMs or team members
• Attend client meetings to take minutes and prepare distributions
• Assist in logging RFIs, submittals, and productivity weekly reports
• Coordinate meetings and document control with client, contractors, and regulators
• May travel to other SSOE offices or client locations for coordination or training
• Coordinate printing/distribution of construction documents for bids
• Coordinate completion and distribution of as-recorded drawings and closeout documents
• Occasional travel may be required
