Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Manager to lead audit engagements, primarily focusing on Public Housing Authority (PHA) and HUD-related audits. You will supervise and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants, manage engagements end-to-end, and strengthen client relationships while contributing to office profitability.

The role sits within the Firm’s Tax/Audit practice and requires the ability to develop specialized expertise in government-related audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, advanced degree a plus.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Exhibit expert understanding of GAAP and U.S. auditing standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and professional judgment.
• Ability to manage time and staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements including planning, staffing and scheduling with minimal oversight.
• Supervise and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants and conduct performance evaluations.
• Assist Principals with identifying and pursuing new clients.
• Develop expertise in PHA, HUD and related audit work for government programs.
