Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Manager to oversee government and affordable housing audit engagements, focusing on PHA and HUD-related work. You will supervise staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to Firm profitability.

The ideal candidate has a CPA license or strong candidate with GAAP expertise, excellent communication, and a proven ability to lead teams while delivering high-quality audits. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree a plus.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and US auditing standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and staff simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing and technical issues.
• Oversee completion of engagements with minimal oversight.
• Supervise and mentor staff and senior accountants, promoting professional development.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and manage staff discussions.
• Assist principals with identifying and pursuing new clients.
• Develop high value-added opportunities from technical knowledge for Firm clients.
• Promote Firm visibility through conferences and publications.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and responsive service.
• Increase office profitability by efficient time management and prioritization.
• Fulfill other duties and projects as assigned.
