Job summary

Save the Children is seeking a Manager of Parent, Family and Community Engagement to oversee ERSEA, family services, and community partnerships across Head Start and Early Head Start programs. You will guide staff, ensure enrollment targets are met, and help build strong family-society collaborations to promote child development and school readiness.

You will also lead data reporting, staff training, and a volunteer program while acting as a liaison with the Policy Council and Program Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive Travel: 40% in-state.
  • Proven experience in family services management and supervisory roles.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff and community partners to deliver high‑quality services.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging.
  • Preferred: advanced degree; prior Head Start experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate data collection, entry, reporting and maintenance for family development services.
  • Direct supervision of Family Service Coordinators (if in a supervisory role) or provide technical support.
  • Oversee ERSEA records and CACFP reporting.
  • Coordinate vacancies, enrollment targets and funded enrollment requirements.
  • Monitor attendance and follow up on tardiness and absenteeism.
  • Conduct classroom visits and support staff in promoting parent engagement.
  • Develop and oversee the PFCE volunteer program and parent training opportunities.
  • Serve as Secretary of the Policy Council and assist meeting logistics as needed.
  • Monitor and report on services to ensure high quality outcomes and school readiness goals.
