Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts Woodbury is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead our Woodbury, Minnesota resort in partnership with the General Manager. You will drive daily operations, coach teams, and deliver exceptional care for pets and their people.

As a key leader on the Resort Leadership Team, you will help shape a culture of excellence, manage shifts, and support revenue growth through strong guest service and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 4 years of customer service experience (leadership experience a plus).
• Strong communication skills and comfort leading teams in a hands-on environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Availability to work up to 45–50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, current insurance (including comprehensive and collision), and a vehicle to transport a pet in an emergency.
• Ability to support and influence workplace change and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Resort Leadership Team with the GM to execute a plan aligned to goals and service standards.
• Maintain operational excellence in pet care, facility standards, cleanliness and safety.
• Lead 1–2 shifts per week as Manager on Duty and oversee staffing and labor guidelines.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of team members.
• Drive revenue growth and manage costs; track KPIs and budget targets.
