Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts in Newton, MA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a high-performing team and partner with the General Manager to run day-to-day operations, develop team members, and deliver outstanding pet care and guest service.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on coaching, problem-solving, and building a positive workplace culture while driving revenue growth, staffing effectiveness, and adherence to safety and quality standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of customer service experience; leadership experience a plus.
• Hospitality, retail, or veterinary experience preferred.
• Strong communication and people leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and shifts as Manager on Duty.
• Coach, train, and develop Shift Leads and Team Members.
• Drive sales, memberships, and high-quality guest care while managing staffing and budgets.
