Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts Arlington is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager in running daily operations, developing the team, and delivering outstanding care and service for pets and their people.

You will lead shifts, ensure staffing aligns with labor guidelines, coach staff, and participate in budgeting and performance metrics. Growth opportunities exist within this expanding organization, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of customer service experience, leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and comfort leading teams in a hands-on environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to work up to 45–50 hours per week including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a vehicle for pet transport in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Model NVA values and leadership competencies in daily actions.
• Coach and develop Shift Leads and Team Members to build capability.
• Lead 1–2 shifts per week as Manager on Duty and supervise staffing according to labor guidelines.
• Resolve customer concerns with empathy and professionalism.
