Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts in Mesa, AZ is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager in running day-to-day operations and developing a high-performing team dedicated to exceptional pet care and guest experiences.

You’ll drive smooth operations, staffing and training, financial performance, and guest satisfaction while supporting marketing and growth initiatives, with career progression across the NVA network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 4 years of customer service experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead teams hands-on.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• Available to work up to 45–50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and vehicle for pet transport in emergencies.
• Ability to support and influence workplace change and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead leadership and culture initiatives and coach team members.
• Oversee operations to deliver excellent pet care and customer service.
• Support sales, marketing and business performance initiatives.
• Assist with budgeting, scheduling and expense management.
• Recruit, hire, and train staff; manage performance and retention.
