Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts in Mesa, AZ, is seeking a hands-on, full-time Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager in running our Doggie District – Mesa resort. You’ll lead daily operations, coach teams, and ensure exceptional care for pets and positive experiences for clients.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of customer service leadership, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office and POS systems. Compensation includes a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of customer service experience with leadership considered a plus.
• Strong communication skills and comfort leading teams in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Shift Leads and Team Members to build capability and confidence.
• Maintain operational excellence across pet care, facility standards, cleanliness, and safety.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, and expense management to meet performance targets.
• Collaborate with General Manager to drive culture, performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training of team members.
