Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a Client Services Representative to support hospital staff, greet clients, and manage check-in/check-out, ensuring smooth flow through the animal hospital.

The role requires excellent communication, basic veterinary knowledge, and proficiency with practice management software. We offer benefits including medical/dental, 401(k), HSA, paid time off, and employee discounts; base pay is $16–$18 per hour, with potential bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in client service is preferred but not required.
• Telephone etiquette and client service excellence required.
• Basic veterinary knowledge about products and services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (Office & practice management software) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients, determine needs, and complete check-in/check-out.
• Schedule appointments for treatments, vaccines, and procedures.
• Help with client reminders for health assessments and dentistry.
• Pull charts and update patient information as needed.
• Assist with prescription fulfillment and owner instructions.
• Sell merchandise and explain product usage.
• Invoice clients, process payments, and handle credit cards.
• Provide information on emergencies and transport to hospital.
• Maintain waiting area cleanliness and stock.
• Prepare welcome letters and new client information packets.
• Demonstrate knowledge of PIMS procedures.
