Job summary

Good Shepherd Pet Hospital in Odessa, FL is seeking a Part Time Customer Service Representative to join our compassionate team. The CSR is the first and last point of contact for clients, combining friendly communication with basic veterinary knowledge to ensure a positive experience for pets and their people.

Typical schedule is Tue/Thu/Fri 2-6, Wed 9-5, and Saturdays 8-4, with average hours 20-28 per week.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a veterinary CSR or in a veterinary medical setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures (or willingness to learn).
• Proficiency with practice management software is a plus.
• Compassion for animals and their owners is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients warmly, in person and over the phone
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
• Communicate medical information, estimates, and discharge instructions clearly and compassionately
• Process payments, maintain accurate medical records, and handle client accounts
• Coordinate with veterinarians and technicians to support patient care
• Handle stressful or emotional situations with empathy and professionalism
