Eastown Animal Hospital in Des Moines is a full-time Client Service Representative role focused on friendly client interactions, scheduling, and payments. This position supports our small animal practice serving Des Moines and surrounding communities for over 80 years.

We seek a positive, reliable team member with strong communication skills and a passion for animals. Excellent customer service is essential in a fast-paced environment and with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
• Positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-centered environment.
• Willingness to learn from others and strong multitasking skills.
• Reliable attendance.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
• Availability for rotating Saturdays.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every client and pet with a positive greeting.
• Answer phones, take messages, and answer client questions.
• Schedule patients using practice management software (Tail-o-Phone, Vetstoria).
• Generate invoices, collect payments, manage cash, and make bank runs twice a week.
• Manage email and mail, and process client paperwork and medical records.
• Manage pet insurance claims and provide estimates.
• Educate clients about our online pharmacy.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to meet client/patient needs.
• Deliver excellent customer service to every pet owner.
