Job summary

Tractor Supply Company and Petsense in Ruston, LA are hiring Team Members to provide legendary customer service while assisting customers, maintaining the sales floor, and supporting selling initiatives.

As a Team Member you will handle cash register operations, stock merchandise, assist with live animals, and complete all required documentation. The role requires reliability, ability to work varied shifts, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; reading, writing and counting skills required.
• Ability to read, write and count accurately.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts including nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Support selling initiatives (TEAM): thank the customer, engage with customer and/or pet, advise products or services, make it memorable.
• Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures.
• Stock and recover merchandise; participate in freight process; execute plan-o-grams; assemble merchandise.
• Perform janitorial duties; execute price changes/markdowns.
• Assist customers with loading purchases; ensure safety and well-being of live animals.
• Complete all documentation for duties as assigned.
