Job summary

Tractor Supply Company / Petsense seeks Team Members to deliver legendary customer service while handling daily store operations. You will be available for varied shifts, support selling initiatives, operate the cash register, stock and merchandise, and ensure live animals are cared for properly.

No experience is required, though retail experience or knowledge of live animals is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• No experience required; retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; reading, writing and counting abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts and varied hours, including nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Support selling initiatives (TEAM): thank the customer, engage with the customer/pet, advise products or services, make it memorable.
• Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures.
• Recovery of merchandise and participate in freight process.
• Execute Plan-o-gram procedures and merchandising tasks.
• Assemble merchandise and perform janitorial duties.
• Execute price changes/markdowns and assist customers with loading purchases.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of live animals and care for their food, bedding and habitat.
• Complete all documentation for duties performed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
