Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health in Renton is seeking a receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients and their pets. You will convert calls into appointments, greet clients warmly, and support the clinic’s operations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include managing calls, promoting preventive care options, and assisting with cashier duties. A high school diploma and 1+ year of customer service experience are preferred; veterinary exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably front desk or call center in a fast-paced environment.
• 1+ years of experience using computers (typing, email, other software).
• Veterinary experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Convert incoming client calls into scheduled appointments, building relationships and promoting services.
• Greet clients and patients warmly, ensuring a welcoming experience on call and in person.
• Manage calls to maximize appointment scheduling and client engagement.
• Perform receptionist duties including patient intake and discharge, ensuring smooth transitions to appointments.
• Support client education and use of online pharmacy; handle cashier duties with accuracy.
