AM WELL ASSISTANCE SOLUTIONS LLC is hiring Personal Support Specialists to provide compassionate, non-medical in-home care for seniors and individuals with disabilities in Cumberland Center, ME. Requirements include Maine PSS certification (or willingness to train), being 18+, a HS diploma, a reliable vehicle, and a patient, caring attitude toward the elderly.

Qualifications

• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance.

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Provide mobility support including transfers and fall prevention.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal planning aligned with dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities and hobbies.
• Escort clients to appointments and run essential errands.
• Observe health changes and report updates to supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Mobility Support: Provide help with walking, transfers (bed to chair), and fall prevention.
• Household Support: Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and keeping the living area tidy.
• Nutrition: Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meal preparation according to client dietary needs.
• Companionship: Offer emotional support, conversation, and engagement in social activities or hobbies.
• Transportation: Escort clients to doctor’s appointments and help with essential errands.
• Reporting: Observe and document any changes in the client's physical or mental health and communicate updates to the supervisor.
