Job summary

AM WELL ASSISTANCE SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking compassionate Personal Support Specialists to provide non-medical in-home care for seniors and disabled individuals in Bar Harbor, Maine. You will help clients maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life through daily living support and companionship.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, meal planning, transportation to appointments, and documenting health updates for supervisors.

Qualifications

• Valid Maine PSS Certification or willingness to complete training.
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance proof.
• Patient, sympathetic attitude toward the elderly and commitment to high‑quality care.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Support Specialists. Your support helps our clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Mobility Support: Provide help with walking, transfers (bed to chair), and fall prevention.
• Household Support: Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and keeping the living area tidy.
• Nutrition: Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meal preparation according to client dietary needs.
• Companionship: Offer emotional support, conversation, and engagement in social activities or hobbies.
• Transportation: Escort clients to doctor's appointments and help with essential errands.
• Reporting: Observe and document any changes in the client's physical or mental health and communicate updates to the supervisor.

Requirements
