Job summary

AM WELL ASSISTANCE SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking compassionate Personal Support Specialists to provide non-medical in-home care for seniors and individuals with disabilities. The role focuses on preserving independence, dignity, and quality of life in clients' homes, with responsibilities from personal care to companionship.

Ideal candidates hold Maine PSS Certification (or willing to complete training), are 18+, have a high school diploma, a reliable vehicle, and valid license/insurance for client

Qualifications

• Maine PSS Certification (or willingness to complete training).
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Provide help with walking, transfers (bed to chair), and fall prevention.
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and keeping the living area tidy.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meal preparation according to client dietary needs.
• Offer emotional support, conversation, and engagement in social activities or hobbies.
• Escort clients to doctor’s appointments and help with essential errands.
• Observe and document any changes in the client's physical or mental health and communicate updates to the supervisor.

Requirements
