Job summary

AM WELL ASSISTANCE SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking compassionate Personal Support Specialists to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and individuals with disabilities in Maine. You will help clients maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.

This role covers ADLs, mobility support, light housekeeping, meals, companionship, transportation, and reporting changes to the supervisor. Requirements include Maine PSS certification (or willingness to train), being 18+, valid driver's license,

Qualifications

• Valid Maine PSS Certification (or willingness to complete training).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of active auto insurance.
• A patient, sympathetic attitude toward the elderly and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required of the role (lifting, bending, standing).

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Provide mobility support with walking, transfers (bed to chair), and fall prevention.
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and keeping the living area tidy.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and healthy meal preparation according to client dietary needs.
• Offer companionship, conversation, and engagement in social activities or hobbies.
• Escort clients to doctor’s appointments and help with essential errands.
• Observe and document changes in the client's physical or mental health and communicate updates to the supervisor.
