Job summary

HUB International in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to support clients, manage a book of insurance business, and collaborate with Producers and HUB teams to deliver exceptional service.

You will analyze client objectives, compare plans, renewals, and coordinate with carriers, underwriters, and partners. A high school diploma and 3+ years in personal lines within a brokerage are required. HUB offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hold a high school diploma/GED (college degree strongly preferred).
• Have at least 3+ years of related personal lines experience within a brokerage environment.
• Have the confidence and demeanor to effectively interact with all levels within the organization.
• Are computer literate - Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Producers and HUB personnel on client service, marketing, and renewal.
• Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carriers, underwriters, and HUB colleagues.
• Prepares and implements all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts.
• Acquires understanding of clients’ insurance objectives and analyzes plans for suitability.
• Keeps updated on changes in the insurance industry affecting clients.
• Negotiates with underwriters and carriers when appropriate.
• Troubleshoots claims and billing issues.
• Identifies cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for HUB products and services.
• Maintains accurate and organized account files and updates HUB systems.
• Prepares reports, proposals and comparisons for management.
