Job summary

Garden Of Palms in West Hollywood, CA is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our team. You will provide direct care and medication assistance to residents, support activities of daily living, and help with transfers, always aiming to meet or exceed community expectations.

You must be able to stand for long periods, lift or transfer residents, and read and understand English fluently. A high school diploma or equivalent, First Aid certification, and CPR are preferred; prior assisted living

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with a passion for senior care.
• Excellent communication in English; read and follow instructions.
• Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid certification; CPR preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in assisted living is a plus.
• Ability to lift/transfer residents and assist with daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living and transfers.
• Follow safety and state regulations; report to Wellness Director.

What you will do:

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Must haves:

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• May need to possess current CPR

Pay rate $21.00 -23.50per hour
