Job summary

Savant Senior Living in Garden Grove, CA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver who reports to the Wellness Director to provide direct care and medication assistance that meets community standards. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, transfers, and mobility support as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR and First Aid certifications, English fluency, and the ability to lift and stand for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.
• Must possess First Aid Certification.
• Speak, read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents per Community standards.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, transfers, and mobility as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as required.

What you will do:

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

Must haves:

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• May need to possess current CPR
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.
