Job summary

Savant of Alhambra is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team. You will report to the Wellness Director and provide direct care and medication assistance to our senior residents.

Daily tasks include activities of daily living, grooming, hygiene, transfers, and mobility support. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a welcoming, family-like environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Prefers a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid First Aid Certification and CPR recommended.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living including grooming, hygiene, bathing, and transfers.
• Support residents with mobility and transfers as needed.

What you will do:

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

Must haves:

• Must be 18+ years old
• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• May need to possess current CPR
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Pay rate $19.00- $21.50 per hour
