Job summary

Savant Senior Living in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide direct care and medication assistance to residents in memory care settings, in alignment with community standards.

You will assist with activities of daily living, lifts/transfers, and maintain a safe, respectful environment. Valid First Aid and CPR are required, along with fluent English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents in memory care.
• Assist with activities of daily living (grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care) and transfers.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
• Speak and understand English fluently.

What you will do

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• Speak read and understand English fluently.

Must haves

EXPERIENCE IN MEMORY CARE SETTING

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• current CPR

• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Pay rate $19.00 -21.50per hour
