Job summary

Savant Senior Living in San Dimas, CA is seeking a caring Caregiver to join our team and provide direct resident care with compassion and professionalism.

You will report to the Wellness Director and assist residents with daily living activities—grooming, hygiene, mobility, transfers—and medication assistance, in a warm, safe environment that respects every individual.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and a history in a similar facility.
• Current CPR may be required.
• Must have valid First Aid Certification and comply with state regulations.
• Fluent in speaking, reading and understanding English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living: grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and transfers.
• Lift or transfer residents as needed.

What you will do:

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

Must haves

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• May need to possess current CPR
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.
