Job summary

Savant of Alhambra is hiring a Caregiver to provide direct care and medication assistance to residents in our senior living community in Alhambra, CA.

Reporting to the Wellness Director, you will assist with activities of daily living, maintain safety, and support the comfort and dignity of residents. Fluency in English and ability to lift residents required. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent certificate and a history in a similar facility.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and CPR.
• Speak, read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and transfers.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

What you will do:

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

Must haves:

• Must be 18+ years old
• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• May need to possess current CPR
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Pay rate $19.00- $21.50 per hour
