Job summary

Savant Senior Living in Downey is seeking a Caregiver to provide direct resident care and medication assistance under the supervision of the Wellness Director. The role supports daily living activities and resident transfers with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, English fluency, and CPR/First Aid certifications. Prior experience in assisted living is a plus; candidates must be able to lift and stand for long periods as part

• Current CPR may be required.
• Valid First Aid certification and state regulations.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents as needed.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents as directed by Wellness Director.
• Assist with activities of daily living (grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care) and transfers.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

What you will do:

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

Must haves:

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• May need to possess current CPR
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.

Pay rate $18.00-$20.50 per hour
