Job summary

Health Here is seeking an Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home care supporting clients in their homes in North Carolina. The role focuses on safety, comfort, and well-being with adherence to care plans and privacy standards.

You will assist with daily personal care tasks, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping, and ensure a clean, safe home environment while maintaining client independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or ability to read/write.
• Minimum 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to follow care plans, safety procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Strong communication, observational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assist clients with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation, feeding, and oral hygiene.
• Utilize mobility aids like walkers and wheelchairs, and perform standby transfers within scope.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Encourage client independence and respect confidentiality and privacy.
• Support with secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep as needed.
• Monitor client condition, report changes or concerns promptly, and escalation issues related to safety, abuse, or neglect.
• Assist with medication self-administration (not direct administration) and follow all policies and procedures.
