Job summary

MEP Health in Snow Hill, NC is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide essential client care in a home setting. You will follow individualized aide plans, assist with self-care, meal preparation, and use EVV timesheets to record tasks.

Caregiving experience is preferred; applicants must be 18+ and able to read and write. You will help with mobility, safety, and maintain confidentiality while delivering compassionate, respectful care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to follow detailed care plans, adhere to safety standards, and demonstrate compassionate, respectful client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Following individualized aide plans and completing daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assisting clients with self-help activities and providing basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and meal preparation, including attention to special diets.
• Utilizing safety precautions, infection control procedures, and special equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
• Performing secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep, while maintaining a safe, clean environment.
• Respecting client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, and providing quality care within scope.
• Monitoring client condition changes and reporting concerns promptly.
• Assisting with medication self-administration (not direct administration) and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
