Job summary

Health Care Administrators Association® (HCAA) is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to deliver client-centered care in home settings. You will follow individualized aide plans, document tasks via EVV, and provide essential personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and feeding assistance using mobility aids.

The role also involves encouraging clients' self-help activities, maintaining safety and confidentiality, handling light housekeeping and meal prep, and reporting changes promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.

• Providing basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, assisting with feeding, and using mobility aids.

• Performing secondary tasks like light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation within scope.
• Monitoring clients' conditions, reporting any changes or safety concerns promptly.
• Assisting only with medication self-administration, never administering medications directly.
• Adhering to all policies, procedures, and scope of practice, seeking guidance when needed.
