Job summary

CONSUMER DIRECTED SERVICES INC. is seeking an in-home Personal Care Assistant to provide personalized care and support to clients in their homes.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and errands, while maintaining client dignity and safety. You will document tasks via EVV or timesheets, adhere to infection control procedures, and report any concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• The role requires the ability to read and write; high school diploma preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience verified through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Follow the client's care plan and complete daily tasks via EVV or timesheets.
• Assist with basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and feeding, including special diets.
• Use safety precautions, infection control procedures, and equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report changes in client condition.
• Respect client confidentiality and rights while delivering quality care.
• Support self-help activities and assist with medication self-administration only if permitted.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments immediately.

• Performing secondary tasks like light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.


• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, and reporting any concerns or changes in client condition.


• Respecting client confidentiality, privacy, and rights while delivering quality care.


• Supporting self-help activities and only assisting with medication self-administration—not administering medications.


• Reporting suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments immediately.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.


• At least 6 months of caregiving experience verified through references.


• Must be 18 years or older.

The role involves accountability to the Home Care Manager and adherence to policies, with a focus on client safety, dignity, and quality care.
