Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health is seeking a Personal Care Aide to provide basic personal care and support in a home care setting. You will follow the client's care plan and complete tasks using EVV or timesheets.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, ambulation, meals, and mobility aids, while maintaining safety and privacy. You will report changes to supervisors and support client independence, with light housekeeping as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
  • Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, safe, and respectful care.

Job description

Role: Personal Care Aide responsible for providing basic personal care and support to clients in a home care setting.
Responsibilities Include

  • Following the client's care plan and completing daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheet.
  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, oral hygiene, and using assistive equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
  • Maintaining safety, infection control, and a clean environment; notifying supervisors of unsafe conditions or changes in client health.
  • Respecting client confidentiality, privacy, and rights while delivering quality care within scope of practice.
  • Supporting clients' self-help efforts, encouraging independence, and assisting with secondary tasks such as light housekeeping and grocery shopping.
  • Only assisting with medication self-administration (not direct medication administration) and reporting any concerns of abuse or neglect.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
  • Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, safe, and respectful care while adhering to policies and procedures.
