Job summary

Savant Senior Living in Garden Grove, CA, is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team. You will provide direct care and medication assistance to residents, and help with daily activities to maintain dignity and comfort.

Reporting to the Wellness Director, you will support residents with grooming, hygiene, transfers, and mobility while upholding safety and quality standards in a welcoming setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Possession of current CPR certification may be required.
• First Aid Certification required per state regulations.
• Fluent English (speaking, reading, understanding).
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and medication assistance to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living (grooming, hygiene, bath, hair care, transfers).
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

What you will do:

• Reporting to the Wellness Director, the Caregiver is responsible for providing direct care and medication assistance to the residents in a manner that meets or exceeds Community expectations.
• Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

Must haves

• This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and a competent history in a similar facility.
• May need to possess current CPR
• Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations
• Speak read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift residents and support their physical needs constantly.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing.
