Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Locust Grove, GA is seeking Personal Care Aides (PCA)/Caregivers to support seniors in their homes in Griffin, GA. You will provide essential personal care, companionship and daily living assistance to help clients live safely and happily at home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• GA HCA registration required; Interim can assist with certification.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification and TB screening required.
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to help seniors live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, light housekeeping and companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document condition; notify supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR/First Aid certification and current TB screening
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
